When I'm shooting for max accuracy, I use a spit patch between shots to keep things consistent. When I'm working on hunting loads, I like to see how many shots I can run through it before reasonable accuracy goes south or it gets too difficult to load. This way I know what to expect if I need to do a quick reload without swabbing in the field.
