NIkon is also making a ballistic plex that is calibrated for hot muzzle loaders like encores and omegas now. I don't know what the calibration and drops are, but am interrested to see.

I havea BDCfor my 300 win mag barrel. Sight it in for 200 yards dead on, next lower circle is calibrated for 300 yards, next lower for 400, etc down to 600 yards. Will I realistically shoot past 300 or maybe 400, probably not,but it is nice to have.

I don't think I would ever shoot past 200 or maybe 250 w/ my encore, and I think my Nikon 4X14 is pleanty. At 200 all I need to do is put the horizontal bar on the top of his back and the drop is right in the boiler room. I have never tried 250, I think the drop would be too much to even give a shot. One day when I am bored and curious, I'll give it a shot.
