I love the .308, but would go with the 30-06 in the T3. Since it's only offered in a long action, there's no real advantage to have a short cartridge.
I agree if this is the case.Even an avid hunter and occasional shooter would never notice a difference between the two, and if not reloading you will find a greater selection of factory hunting ammo for the good old '06.
