The whitetail mating season referred to as the rutting period, occurs at different times across the country. So depending on where your from it happens at different times but always in the fall season. The earliest mating will start in the coldest climates in mid October with the latest mating occuring throughout December.

I would recommend contacting your local game commisioner to ask what the general time frame for the rutting season is in your area.
