Default RE: Waiting for PA doe permit?

ORIGINAL: MikeE51848

Is there some formula they use to determine which county treasurer gets your license application? The WMU address is to a designated PO Box so do the treasurers stand in line? And how about when counties contain more than one WMU?
And if I can ad my $.02 gripe, I think the PGC should go county-wide WMU's. It stinks that my hunting area in the same county is divided into 2 WMU's.
Thanks
The number of antlerless license applications sent to each County Treasurer for processing and issuance is based on the percentage of that particular county within the WMU. AS an example if 10% of 2G is in Elk County then the Elk County Treasurer will have 10% of the applications for that unit to issues the license while Cameron County might have 35% of the applications for the unit.

Those are just example percentages and are the actual percentage for either county. I would have to dig back through old data to come up with the actual percentages for the counties and units.

There have always been people that had tuff decisions to make because of unit or county lines. Back when it was by county line I knew several people that could only hunt on half of their own property with their antlerless license. Boundary lines will always adversely affect someone no matter where you make them.
