Default RE: AMS Safety Slides

The slides can be used with any rest at all.
It's really not related in any way that I'm aware of.

The slides keep the line out in front of the bow during the entire draw and release sequence, so they really don't interact. As for your choice of rest, I've seen everything work from the new Fishhook, to F+D's dream rest, to the bowfishing buscuit. As long as it's heavy enough to support the 1,200 grain arrows and is adjusted properly for good arrow flight, it should work fine. I recommend using the slides or cabled arrows for all bowfishing setups, regardless of whatever other preferences you have.

The slides are strong enough to hold up. Sometimes, after a lot of shooting you may get the screw on the bumper to back out a bit, but that's about it. I have cracked 2 of the slides themselves, but that was from pulling too hard on the line trying to free an arrow from it's new home in a log. You won't really need to use a bow set at anything above 50# for fish.
