This is something I've really learned about because of my game camera over the past few years. In Central Minnesota the bucks are still growing. They have a few weeks. My cam pictures over the past few years are almost exactly the same. Bucks shed there velvet from Aug 28 to Sept 10. When it starts its over very quickly....a bloody mess. I have numerous pics of bucks in velvet and 2 days later its totally gone. While its comming off they are pretty bloody.

The date I have with the most bucks in the shed stage is Setp 3.
