I swear I ain't lying but low and in line is where you want to be because what you need to know is going to hurt but fix the rifle. You need to file a bit off the front sight to bring the point of aim up and you need to do it slowly with a few trips to the range. You have the horizontal done and this will fix the low shooting. Most traditional m/l are set up this way so don't worry about it.
I aint touching that sight! lol. I was just experimenting with 80 grains. My hunting load will be 110grains of powder. That puts me dead on at 100 yards and will shoot 1 1/2 groups @ 100 yards. Now my max range, off hand will be 65 yards. I was shooting 2" groups at that range off hand. Anything over that will be done off shooting sticks or a tree limb. But thanks for the info guys, I'll carry a lil bottole of alcohol, a few q tips and a paper towl with me on the hunt. This year will be awesome! Flintlock is so much more fun and cooler than the inline! Dont get me wrong tho, The inline will be at the camper if i need it lol.
