today i was bored and sick of being in the house after school and im 15 so i cant hunt alone or id be chasing turkeys or tree rats...so i put on my camos and went down the road to a pretty decint sized patch of woods...least a few square miles...i see deer and turkey tehre all the time...my friend is 16 and can hunt alone so i guided him on some tree rats one day and found a little bucks rub line...so i went and was going to sit and watch it knowing that the ruts in about full swing...i took my camera along just to use the film up so i can see my fish i caught over the summer and capture a deer or turkeys too...i found a nice spot i could have perfect pics when they walk down their rub line but decided to go 20 yards farther..then 30...then 40...i found a good tree and was walking to it when i hear deer take out...one got up and stopped after a few feet...i seen a rack! looked to be a 4 point....he started walking so i kinda bleated with my mouth because i forgot my call....he stopped and another got up! it looked like a spike....maybe a doe...i dont think 2 bucks would bed together this time of year..but im almost posative he had about 4 inch spikes on him..and was smaller than the other buck beside him....that definently got the blood rushing! made me wish them almost 3 weeks before rifle season was a day...i dont hunt the area though..next year i might bow hunt it...on the way out i seen a GIANT scrape..had to be about 4ft by 4ft! i was like NO WAY!...looked close at the middle and i could see stick marks someone made trying to imitate a hoof mark..looked up on the hill to see a guy i seen last time i was back there...must be trying to mock a scrape...maybe he should see the size of a real one!...kinda feel bad for him besides the fact i ruined 2 of his hunts now he obviously doesnt have a tree stand and is trying to use a cliff above a creek as his stand...only the bucks rubline is behind him and the wind blows to them! poor guy...o well hes not a junior hunter he cant take the 2 bucks i seen due to ARs....just had to tell someone about a decint day and seeing "urban" bucks lol...they were within 150 yds of a truck place with moving trucks! jsut watching the guys work i guess...and houses are fairly close too....i know where i will be after school next year before i get my drivers liscense!
