Default Need help setting up

Im new to archery, unless you count as a kid with the plastic bows. I just got a Reflex bighorn hunter off ebay still brand new. I cant find any info on reflex or the internet about this bow, but I did go to hoyt's website and download their 2002 manual which helped a little. The bow is 40" limb to limb, 60-70 draw weight, 29" draw length. It was originally set at 70 and I backed the limb bolts out 2 3/4 turns. I installed a nock and arrow rest.

My questions are when I installed the nock it is harder to pull back using a release than if I just use my finger pull back. Is this normal or did I install the nock to high (see picture)? The fletching also touches the string when nocked, I wanted to make sure it would not affect flight as the cable guard bar it set at the 2oclock position suggested. Also the placement of the arrow rest, Is it to far back on the arrow? I read a post about lining the arrow up with the rest mounting hole, so thats how I set it up.

Thanks for reading my long post and any help you can offer.
