RE: Comfort Zone hang on -any good????
Hey Snood. Do yourself a favor and ditch the harness in favor of a good one. Don't skimp on this. It's your life your protecting. There are other threads (do a search) that cover harnesses. Go look at few.
I know the Hunter's Safety System is good. SOP Deluxe is also good. There's some others, too. Ya just have to see what you may want.
There are lots of little tricks to get tangles out of them web straps. One is to mark one side (right) with felt markers or something of your choosing. Reflective tape might even work well for putting it on under the beam of a flashlight. What I find works the best is PRACTICE. The more familiar you get with it the easier it gets. I also usually wear mine inside my camo jacket so there's no interference with the bowstring.
Whichever one you choose there's one other thing. Scrap the strap around the tree and get a rope with a Prusic knot like the SOP has. This is probably the simplest thing to use and cheap. You can even make your own with nylon rope.
Some guys don't care for a harness as they think it may cost them a shot sdome day. That's probably true, and in my case it'll be the buck of my lifetime. But I've lived all of 59 years now, and one of these days I'll get smart and quit playing monkey. Till that time I won't be scrimping on anything that can help me live longer.
