I just re-read the regulations and you are correct. I wonder why I was under that impression. Did the regs change for 2006? I thought there was, or used to be, a 100% lead (no plating) rule.
As far as I know, PB's of 50 cal. have always been legal for elk in Colorado, even the plated ones. What did change (I think) for 2006 is that .50 cal RB is now legal for elk. Best I can tell, .45 RB isn't legal for any big game.
