That is a good rifle. I had a buddy who had one and was getting 1/2 inch groups with factory ammo. That is great accuracy from any point of view.
Nikons are decent scopes. They are tough and bright but they do not have the best resolution. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. If you want to stay in the under 500 doller range, You can get a 3x9 Leupold VXIII or Zeiss Conquest and both are outstanding for the money. You can also get into the Bushnell Elite 4200 and Burris Signature series for a bit less. These are both legendary scopes and have excellent optics. If you were thinking about the straight Nikon Monarch, which is areound 300 bucks, you need to look at the Leupold VXII and the Sightron SIII.
For the 200 doller range, Look no further than the Sightron SII and the Burris Fullfield.\
