I have a table in the basement that looks like that a couple times a year too. One suggestion,I baught a vaccum sealer a couple of years ago, and it really keeps the freezer burn to a minimum. Meat last longer in the freezer.

I have heard that many times and would do it in the blink of an eye..............IF I ever had even one piece of meat get freezer burn. We use the double lined zipper freezer bags and have absolutely no problems at all. Sometimes we go through the meat like vultures and sometimes it lasts all year. I found a bag of butterflied chops once that was almost 2 years old and they were fine.

I think the vaccum sealers are nice products but I just haven't found a need for one. My good quality grinder though is something I have no idea how I ever lived without
