Default RE: Marlin Model 60 .22

Oh yes, the old classic Marlin Mod 60. I've had one since I was 14. Itis now rightfully owned by my daughter (who outshot me with it at the outdoor range when she was 16 years old!) [8D]

Paul Mohr is correct about the Model 60. It is very picky with ammo and will get gunked up real quick with cheap, dirty ammo. In my opinion, the best ammo for the Model 60 is the CCI Stingers. CCI is very clean, accurate, and won't cause jamming problems. DO NOT shoot Wolf ammo or some other real cheap $1.09 a box type of junk. The Model 60 will shoot it but will hate you for it. Trust me, you will be cleaning the Model 60 for hours afterwards. It doesn't take kindly to junky/dirty ammo and absolutely DEMANDS to be kept clean. That's just the way it is....

Good luck with the Model 60. They are everywhere - I mean, they are as popular as the Ruger 10/22 and just as accurate too!
