With the newer sabot loads for the 20 ga the bullets and ballistics are almost the same as shooting an inline muzzle loader. And Inlines are very effective on deer. Up until a few years ago the inline was better than a slug gun as far as accuracy and range go.

Paul, 99.9% of the time I agree with you but not on this one. I would go as far as to say that there isn't a shotgun slug or shotgun on the market that can outshoot a modern inline muzzleloader that has been fine tuned with the right loose powder load and sabot bullet.
