Thats definitly adequate to kill a deer. Just two tips - Shoot at smaller dots - even putting a 1" peice of duct tape, will help improve your shooting drastically. Also, dont put too much pressure on yourself. Thats how I got target panic the first time, and It almost made me quit archery.
