Yea IMO it's a little bit misleading of a statement when stated "aim for the exit hole." It means "aim taking into account both the entrance AND exit holes." Angle away, aim for the deer's opposite leg. If you go up in a tree you'll want to aim a little higher on the to account for the shot being downwards.
