Jimmya, the cutting diameter boosts the score over the 100 grn version. And the blades are less likely to break on the 125 grn heads. I am not sure why, but think the longer tip has something to do with it. I have tested the 100 grn version and it penetrates as well, but looses blades on the steel drum, while the 125 grn heads did not. It is my personal opinion that it would be worth it to move up 25 grns to get the benifits of the 125 grn steelhead, provided your bow and arrows will tune with them, and you have enough KE to push the bigger head through. I think 55 ft/lbs is plenty for this head.
