Just to try to insure my Jaeger's sights are set correctly, I went to the range and fired three more shots on Thursday. (Three was enough for a nice big bruise on my shoulder!!)
Two shots were with a .715" ball, and one with the .735" ball, all with .010" lubed T/C patches & 150 grains of Swiss FFg,the sight used with the fixed, short-range leaf.
The thing loads real easy with the .715" balls, so a thicker patch may be in order, BUT at 50 yards, the .010" patch is OK!
I am convinced this rifle is going to shoot better than I can hold it!(Top hole was shot with a .58 Hawken, 6-o'clock hold!-it is going to need some reduction in the rear sight height!)
