Default RE: Alabama Hunters need help.

check out bankhead forest, it does not produce the numbers of deer that other wma's do but it always produces the better quality bucks, also lamarion (sp)wma

the bad news, bankhead is some of the roughest terrain in the state[&o], but well worth the effort

about 1.5-2 hrs north-east of there you can try out skyline wma, it produces numbers of deer but useally smaller, club wise, try greene, pickens, county not to far and great deer hunting, some is still dog hunting, most has gone to still and stalk hunting only though

hope that helps you some, for fishing, you'll be close to smith lake, a deep clear watershed, that can be tough as nails, alot of spotted bass, and big stripes, btw a friend of mine, phil terry, used to have the world record spot from smith lake 8#15oz.
