RE: newbie basic hunting-law questions
I have target practiced on public land before and never had a problem. A warden should understand someone practicing on National Forest b/c they don't have a place to practice or getting the "feel" of shooting in a hunting environment.
Make sure you also know the season opening/closing dates.
Some dummy on here shot a turkey out of season accidentally last year.[&:]
