I bought the Hunter Safety System Vest last year . I kinda balked as it was $70 but then I considered the alternatives . It's a bit heavy but made real well . I feel more secure with this in a stand than anything else I have ever used .
A belt harness can let you flip upside down . A cheap harness can shut off your circulation in about 3 minutes . The HSS system is an excellent safety investment . Have your son try one on 1st . Have him do it with his hunting jacket on . Then get one for yourself !
