Short term - yes.......Long Term - No
It's appearedthere have been instances with my Camtrakkerswhere the deer have reacted to the flash, and started to run, before the camera could evensnap the pic. Also, (after the day the initial pic was taken) I've never taken a 2nd pic of a mature buck from the same tree/camera setup.
From my experience, they may not associate the encounter with humans/hunters...but the experience is something they seem to avoid a second time.For the last couple of years I've movedmy game cameras at least 40-50 yds each time I check them.
I really don't think the camerashave any long-term effects on whitetails. Ibelieve any ill-effectscan be attributed more on human scent left behind and the disturbance we make getting in & out of the area to check cameras. To be honest, I think some of the deer in my areaactually
enjoy getting their picture taken
