Carbon; way more durable. I have shot many deer with a carbon and put it back in my quiver to hunt another day. That doesn't happen with aluminum. HCH

If you get a good pass thru I don't see where it would matter. I have re used aluminum arrows after shooting deer with them and ruined carbons shooting deer with them. I have a buddy that has been hunting with the same set of 2213's since I have known him, going on 5 years now.

I started with carbons and switched to aluminums when I saw how much better the tolerances are for the money. For me aluminums are easier to work with and have better quality control. I don't have any trouble with them going bad really. You just need to take care of them. I have had more bad carbons than I have aluminums, and some were bad right of the box.

Not that you can't get good carbons, they just cost you is all.
