Actually, they are legal in many states for m/l season. I live in the boondocks and black powder would be a problem getting. I can't find any info on the rate of twist on them, so was looking at other possibilities. I used to compete w/ patched round ball and took 7 deer w/ a .54 Bridger Hawken built by Dale Weiss in Pa. It weighed 11 1/2 lbs. I also had a couple of Jack Garners rifles, one of which was a semi custom .32 for squirrel hunting that I used to take over 70 in one season. All of which I had to give up due to bad shoulder.
