Nitrons in the lead.. super accurate
Guys,
I've been practicing hard for the past two weeks with my new tribute. Love the bow and my setup now is pretty solid. So, with 50 days until season opener here in Kentucky, it's time to tune in the broadheads. I've been searching for a fixed head that I have 100% confidence in and currently was comparing Muzzy 100gr four blade, Montec G5, Muzzy Phantoms and the NAP nitrons. Just the four I've selected. Anyhow, after spending three days comparing them at 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards, the clear winner is the nitron. Actually it's not even close. The g5 is an awesome looking head, but for my setup, kept shooting consistently right at 20 and 30 and severly low and right at 40+. The phantoms unfortunately weren't very accurate even at 20 yards. The Muzzy 4-blade was the second runner up, but out at 40+ began to fall off. Very accurate at 20, a definitely consistent kill at 30, but 40+ just not enough. The Nitron however were dead on with my field points out to 66 yards. I shot three consecutive heart shots at 60. At 20, 30, 40 and 50, I kept 2 inch groups. These babies are the real deal. I didn't have any slick tricks on hand, but have some on order, so I'll compare the two when they come in, but right now, if season was tomorrow, the Nitrons are on the arrows and I'm shooting with 100% confidence, even if I never take a shot greater than 40, I know that I can count on these heads.
And before you guys let me know that my bow might possible still need some tuning, I'll just say, I've done all I can and am looking for confidence in my broadheads at this point. Just wanted to share. Just noticed I wasn't in the review forum, I thought I was...so Mr. Mods, if you want to move it, I'd be grateful. Thanks.
