Hold it on it for a few minutes and it will last you till light. Use a head light for about 30 sec. and it will be bright as can be. Best of luck.

When i was in the servicve i was the point man. I used to hold my compass that would glow in the dark into the headlights of my jeep for 2 minutes.It would glow all night.Thanks ..excellent idea.
