Iagree that Rendell is no friend of sportsman or gun owners.I pretty much despise the guy and the puppets he appointed to run DCNR.I still think you guys are making more out of the situation than is there.Somehow I can't put anti-hunting and wanting us to kill all the deer together.Who will control the deer when they take all our guns away? Our northern forests have been devistated by the huge deer herds of the past and herd reductions were sorely needed. It probably will take some of the worst areas 20 years to recover but I'm seeing a huge difference in the habitat today compared to just 5 years ago in many places.

I agree that light plays a big factor is getting regeneration started but not all preffered browse species need alot of light. Many are shade tolerant.I don't know how to make you understand this but we can't just go in and cut all the trees. If you cut much more than 1% a year you'llend up with way too high of a percentage of pole timber.Pole timber supports the least amount of deer out of any age class of timber.

Crazyhorse,I never ran into you or Sproul on state game lands either.I guess you don't hunt them.

The conspiracy theories never end around here.
