I think there may be a misunderstanding in the debate.

Maybe you meant to say:

If you have two IDENTICAL bows at the same draw weight and length and fire a heavy arrow out of one and a light one out of the other .... Then you are right, the slower arrow would penetrate deeper - more momentum.

That is a common debate: trajectory vs. KE
and how much KE is needed.
