I got one about 10 yrs ago or so because it was marked down at walmart(and i heard it was a pretty good rifle)- they had a Rem. semi auto& a pump that day marked down, i gotthe pump rifle in .270 win.

The stock is too fancy for me(glossy checkered walnut)- but i like it& it shoots good.

I have been elk hunting etc& ppl have givin it some real "odd" looks(not to many pump riflesaround here)- but the few who know me know i will outshoot them reguardless of how it lookseven with there fancy/expensive /heavy barrels& imported etcbolt rifles.
