Default RE: Adding weight to your field points

Hi Jakes:

All of your innovative methods show your commitment to perfecting your equipment and technique.

A few years ago I also tried everything under the sun to manage a few additional grains of weight to my arrows. But I never did find a sensible product for adding weight incrementally to the shafts. Small washers ought to have worked, but they just aren't sized proper.

I was hunting with 160 grain Fixed broadheads, and 600-PLUS grained arrows, and I thought,

"The heavier the better for my 63# longbow!"

But I developed a bad shoulder, so today, I've gone the other way, to shooting 100 grain field points from a 45# longbow.

Good luck to you. You sure are an imaginative person. I'd like for you to keep us updated on your methods. Something will work!
