RE: Save it or try it out?
Hmmm, I wonder what a model 94, that was made in in the 1800's, and still in the box in unfired/unmessed with condition, would be worth today? Probably a ton of money.
Or, what would a model 73 carbine be worth in unfired condition today. I bring up the 73 because it has not been made in many years and the 94 was just recently discontinued. One hundred years from now the 94 is sure to be long out of production, once they are not being made for 20-30 years the prices will climb.
If you are looking at an investment for your lifetime, got out and shoot/enjoy it. If you are looking to leave something in the family for future generations, oil it down and put it in the box for future generations..
