Used to be thought that hogs would not migrate to colder climates here in the U.S. Apparently not true, as some are being reported in Canada. I've heard also that some feral pigs are being reported in Alaska. There was talk about trying to eradicate them. Haven't heard about that lately.

Personally, I've always wondered why there were not more hogs up north. It's not like they have an aversion to cold climates. In Europe and Asia, they are found in abundance in very cold climates.
