In British Columbia,we really don't have an over population of deer..
We do have doe seasons but are regulated,be it either by limited entry or a 2 -4 week general hunting seaon depending on the region and management unit...
However I personally feel that we do not have a high enoughbuck to doe ratioin the regions and management units I hunt to substanciate shooting does,or smaller /average size bucks.
So for me, it isaMATURE BUCKonly...Or I go through the year tagless...
