Nope.
When I said "Des Plaines", I meant the river, not the conservation area.
I was back at Buffalo City.

The scene was different this time though with the gar being in there in such great numbers when you had only seen one there before. THey were letting some serious water over the dam, and I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

The water level started out about where we've seen it before at 5:30am, but had raised 5 inches in about 2 and 1/2 hours.

It was quite cool to be in the water with gar rolling so close by. I saw all sizes from about 8 inches to well over 3 feet.
