Hey Briman,
I decided to stain it to a color of my liking. This rifle is only about 70% so I'm using it as a project gun and a hunting gun. I've since found several websites where you can order up whatever condition you like. Down the road I may end up getting one above the 95% range even if I have to pay a few bucks. This is easily the best out of the box rifle I've ever shot. I can't say one bad thing about it.
