I would think the scrubbing would make things a little better...

As Roundball said, are you using a short starter? All my roundball rifles require a short starter. And some are stiff to load when you first start out, but it gets easier on the way down. If it is real tight all the way down, then reduce your patch size since you're at a .530 patch already... Also try adding a little more lube. Some of those pre lubed have sat on a store shelf a while and they dry out. Just smear a little lube on them and see if that does not help.
