Ive shot them for years with everything from my compounds set at 70lbs, and 65lbs. I have also taken more than I can count with my trad gear. My favorite trad bow is my old herters recurvewhich is56lbs at 28". I have even taken them with my fishing bows which are recurves no heavier than 45lbs. Years ago I had a girl friend who took many hogs with her compound which was set at 45lbs. Its all in knowing your gear and its limitations. Most important thing is knowing the vitals of a hog and avoiding the shield.
