RE: 291 lb Buck just got a lot smaller!
Depending on where you hunt, bucks that size are not as rare as you might think.Where I hunt in rural alberta and saskatchewan hunting pressure is very light and many bucks live to very old age.Mature bucks often reach 300 lbs and some are over 350 with the odd monster closing in on 400lbs.I have taken one buck myself that weighed over 330lbs live weight and my father took one many years ago that topped 380lbs live weight.There are no cities nearby and almost all land is private and many people have given up hunting altogether due to high costs and our draconian gun control laws.Permission to hunt is also free and usually easy to get.
