Do you hunt with or without surgical tubing?

I decided after hunting with it for two years to take it off and try it without this year.

When I took it to the shop to have my new peep tied in, the guy working the back counter actually told me I was dumb for taking it off.

I didn't take it to heart though as he later told me a tale of how the elk he shot last season was standing 80 yards away downhill. Not that I didn't believe him, I just found it unethical.
