Default RE: RED DOT for Hunting?? Yes or NO

Yes! I've been shooting with one for 6 years or so. They can be expensive but I did see a cheaper one at bass pro shops. When you think about it, they're not much different from a lit single pin except you can only see it from on angle.

They are very easy to set up. All you do is stand 10 yrds away from your target on level ground. The key thing here is toget the dot within 4 inches on target (closer is better) and then use the adjustments on the sight to fine tune. Up and down is self explainable but left and right requires you to use a shim in the front or back asneeded to get the dot within limits. I found a 1/4" slice of a business card works great. Total time 5 mins if you pre-make 2 shims just incase you need them.

The sight is the best in low light situations and forces you to anchor up the same every time. I can tell you in the past I used many different peeps. Had a favorite light gathering one buta RedDot is way better.
