I'd decline the generous offer of a new rifle and I'd take my .270 Classic Sporter I, Model 70.. 140 grain TSX.

I already hunt in grizzly country on the eastern slopes and during bow season I carry 6 arrows (5 125 First Cuts & 1 Judo) and a can of bear spray. During rifle seasonI take my 'bone crusher'*

*Anything's a bone crusher with TSX bullets even my sweet lady gun, (.270)......
