Well the deal is you'd already elliminated the biggest discounters going, Cabelas and Bass Pro. They buy in super large quanitities and do try to out price the market on a lot of things. They don't always do it of course, but that's their speel. Summit wants to make a little profit so they can survive some smuck suiting them when he doesn't use something right and falls and breaks his fool neck. You can shop for a year and not save more than a couple bucks. It's not like you're buying a car. What you're looking for is someone to give them to you. Well, unless he's a business man that wants to go out of business he can't. He does have a mark up. He also DOES have overhead, and employees, employee taxes and social security to cover, a large cash outlay for stocking the stores etc etc. You're not looking to save a few bucks. You want to have someone hear your sob story and give them to you. That way he can bite the bullet, not make a profit, not keep good employees and eventually go out of business. If you don't want to buy from the big boys, check your local shop and buy from the guy you want to stay in business, or whine and beg from the guy you want to go out of business.
