Yep that is the problem with the 8mm it would be a great performer but after what happened to Remington with the 8mm Rem mag they aren't about to do that. Off the top of my head you would probably get 2900 with a 200 grain whatever in the 338 wsm and that along with a nosler 210 and no bigger would be optimum in that cartridge. It would be about a 200 fps improvement over the 338-06 . I am betting it is coming out in the next year seems to be a lot of demand for it, I would have thought it would be here already. Now if they can make those short actioned brownings and Winchester SS guns actions work smoother I would be a bigger fan. I was disappointed with that aspect of those rifles and I have both of them now in 300 wsm. I still like a long smooth bolt throw in my rifles.
