Look for geese feeding in hay fields. They are still eating bugs and grasses that early. When you get lucky enough to shoot a couple out of a group, avoid the temptation to run right out to grab your goose (unless it's a cripple), instead call like crazy and the young ones might come back around, giving you another chance.
