Get ride of the peep.
When I first started shooting, "we" didn't use peeps, just a kisser-button and practice. Once I had it positioned in place for the kisser, I'd just "shadow" the string over the pin and I'd be right on. (keeping both eyes open, of course) I always thought it was a lot easier and faster than messing with a peep sight.
