I dont know how to check the timing as I am am turned to down to 62 on a70lb bow. i'm trying towork my way up to 70 by the time I go elk hunting in 2003. the only info I have seen is the timing mark should be level at full draw at full draw weight. I am going to the shop tommorow and I will double check the speed and see about timing. AS for the arrows the shortest I can shoot is 28.5 which is to bad cause I like the price!
