sorry no help here, mine get charged asap, the way i was always instructed to treat a deep cycle battery, when you first get it charge it completely, the completey discharge it, charge immediatly and repeat this a few times, the batteries will develop memory from what i've been told, short cycles on chargers will give shorter duration (ah), i have never strayed from this practice, but i still end up buying trolling motor batteries every other year to year and a half, but that is some pretty serious charge and discharge = lotsa fishin

i have heard of people camping taking two car batteries run one all day, when you get back to camp put the dead /low batt in the car and jump it off with the hot battery do a little running around, use the other for next day, make sure someone near where your camping has some jumper cables, or take a vehichle with a munual tranny
