If I shoot factory ammo I use Hornady Custom. I would use the 130 grain spire point flat base Hornady interlocksfor a .270. My friend uses these bullets for reloading and they are extremely accurate and kill like dynamite on whitetails. I use the 150 grain SST loads in theHornady Custom out of my .308 remington mohawk 600. They are extremely accurate but dont expand like I would want them to. I am looking to go to the 165 boat tail spire points or flat basethis year in the Hornady factory loads. Heres a link. They alsomake Light Magnum which is supposed to give you more velocity.

I tell you another brand that is often overlooked is PMC. I have shot 180 grain 30-06 loads from PMC and .223 fmjand they did very well. They have a gold line,a silver line, and abronze line. The gold lineis loaded with the barnesX bullets. The silver line is loaded with Sierra SPBT bullets. The bronze line is loaded with a regular psp bullet. Its probably made by a major manufacturer though.I also shoot this ammo in my ar-15 rifles. Here is a link so you can check it out.
